The city can be divided into three main parts: Hong Kong Island, where the main part of tourist attractions and the best restaurants are located; Kowloon, which is the mainland with a very good hotels and infrastructure, and the "New Territories", the most peripheral region that is close to the border with mainland China. Knowing that the New Territories is far away and that Hong Kong Island is very expensive, the best place to stay in Hong Kong is in Kownloon.

The public transport system in Hong Kong is very efficient, which makes it possible to know the whole city using only public transport.
