Where to stay in Porto:
Porto is not so big but has an amazing offer of hotels and hostels at great prices. The main recommendation is to stay in the city center, but there are also several good options close to subways or other sights. Weather in Porto:
There is no time of year considered bad for visiting the city that lies on the banks of the Douro River. However, the best time to go to Porto is between May and June and in September, with ideal mild temperatures for outdoor excursions. July and August are considered the hottest months with less rain. The more quiet time, when it comes to tourist movement, is from March to May or from September to the end of October. But remember that there is more rainfall from September.
